Ukrainian developers test-launch Pechora surface-to-air missiles

Ukrainian developers have successfully test-launched missiles from the modernized Pechora surface-to-air missile system, with a maximum range of 40 kilometers, according to the Facebook page of the Luch State Design Bureau.

According to the report, Ukraine's Radionix and the Kyiv-based Luch State Design Bureau conducted missile launches from the modernized S-125 M Pechora surface-to-air defense missile system. A 5V27D-M2 missile is equipped with an active radar-guided warhead.

"At the initial stage, the rocket moves along an aeroballistic trajectory, which substantially increases the hit zone range for the S-125 M surface-to-air missile system," reads the report.

It also notes that the maximum range of new missiles is 40 kilometers, and the maximum altitude is 25 kilometers.
