Militants launched 9 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched nine attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas in last day.

As noted, in Luhansk direction, the enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars and heavy machine guns to fire at Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). The defenders of Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher and small arms fire. Militants also violated ceasefire outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), using heavy machine guns.

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations used 120mm and 82mm mortars on the outskirts of Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol). In addition, ATO troops came under grenade launcher fire in Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk).

Moreover, the enemy UAVs, banned under the Minsk agreements, were recorded in different areas along the contact line.

As reported, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, two more were wounded and another two servicemen were injured over the past day.
