Militants launched six attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

No ceasefire violations were recorded along the demarcation line in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in eastern Ukraine since 19:00.

However, in the first half of the day, Russian-backed militants launched six attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Luhansk direction, the enemy used heavy machine guns and 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). The outskirts of Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher and machine gun fire.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants opened fire from 120mm mortars on the defenders of Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). The enemy also used weapons on infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers and machine guns to launch attacks on Ukrainian strongholds outside Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol). In the area of Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), militants fired at Ukrainian troops, using small arms and grenade launchers.
