OSCE SMM records about 70 explosions in Donbas

The monitors of the OSCE SMM recorded about 70 explosions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in eastern Ukraine in last day.

This is stated in the report, based on information received as of 19:30, 28 December 2017.

“In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including more explosions (about 70), compared with the previous reporting period (ten explosions),” reads the report.

As noted, on the evening of 27 December, while in government-controlled Svitlodarsk (57km north-east of Donetsk), the SMM heard 11 undetermined explosions and about 20 bursts and shots of heavy-machine-gun and small-arms fire, all 3-6km south-east.

“In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including five explosions, compared with the previous reporting period (one explosion),” the OSCE SMM says.
