SBU chief: Biometric control at border to complicate work of Russian special services

The introduction of biometric control at the border with the Russian Federation will contribute to strengthening the national security of Ukraine and complicate the work of Russian special services.

Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak said this on the air of TRK Ukrayina TV channel, Ukrinform reports.

"I am convinced that the introduction of biometric passports for crossing the border with the Russian Federation will contribute to strengthening Ukraine's national security and will significantly complicate the work of the Russian special services," Hrytsak said.

When asked whether Ukrainians themselves will suffer from the introduction of biometric control, Hrytsak said that there would be some additional difficulties while crossing the border with Russia, but “those, who do not violate the law, have nothing to be afraid of.”
