Militants launched 27 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 27 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

“The enemy violated ceasefire in ATO area 27 times over the past day, particularly using the weapons which are banned under the Minsk agreements. No casualties in Ukrainian troops were reported,” the statement reads.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants opened fire from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian strongholds near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). In addition, militants used 120mm mortars to launch attacks on Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), grenade launchers – on Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), small infantry weapons – near Lobacheve (17km north-west of Luhansk) and Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk).

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations fired at Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk), using mortars and weapons with smaller caliber. Militants also used a tank to launch attacks outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). ATO troops near Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) came under grenade launcher and small arms fire. The enemy also opened fire from infantry weapons and mortars on the defenders of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk).
