Hug to discuss with Plotnytsky implementation of Minsk agreements, obstacles to work of SMM observers

On Monday, First Deputy Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug will meet with leader of the so-called “Luhansk People's Republic” Ihor Plotnytsky to discuss issues related to the implementation of the Minsk agreements and obstacles to the work of the SMM.

"To consider the issues related to the implementation of the Minsk agreements and problems hindering the work of the SMM, Alexander Hug will meet with Plotnytsky in Luhansk today. In addition, Hug will raise the issue of security of the SMM observers, in particular the need to bring to justice those who endanger the Mission's personnel and its property," the report reads on OSCE's Facebook page.

In accordance with its mandate, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine "constantly participates in talks with a wide range of interlocutors to establish a dialogue and assist in the normalization of the situation."
