Two Ukrainian soldiers killed in Donbas over past day

Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed as a result of military operations in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson for ATO issues Oleksandr Motuzianyk said this at a press briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"As a result of hostilities over the past day, two [Ukrainian soldiers] were killed, two were wounded. One soldier was killed in enemy shelling near Kamianka, another soldier was killed in a blast of unknown origin near Nevelske,” Motuzianyk said.

He also reported about an increase in the number of ceasefire violations by Russian-backed militants. Thus, in the Luhansk direction, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian army positions five times, in the Donetsk direction – 20 times, and in the Mariupol directions – 11 times.
