Over 313 thousand ceasefire violations recorded in Donbas since the start of 2017

Since the start of the year, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has recorded 313,322 ceasefire violations in Donbas, including 26,000 with the use of heavy weapons.

Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Alexander Hug stated via skype at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center on Friday, October 13, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, since the beginning of the year, the monitors have recorded almost 3,500 units of weapon located in violation of the withdrawal lines.

Hug also said that the SMM observers last week recorded the presence of armed soldiers and equipment in the Stanytsia Luhanska area, as well as the presence of mines in other withdrawal areas.
