Ukraine, Lithuania sign key memorandum in defence industry

Ukrainian State Concern “Ukroboronprom” and the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industries Association (LDSIA) signed a key memorandum providing for the creation of favorable conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation between the defence enterprises of both countries.

"We can already talk about the open prospects for expanding the potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between the defence industries of Ukraine and Lithuania. Taking into account the common eastern threat to our countries, cooperation in the field of cutting edge defence technologies is of strategic importance," said the Ukroboronprom deputy director general for foreign and economic affairs Denys Hurak, the press service of "Ukroboronprom” reports.

As noted, right now there is a basis for creating joint projects to ensure the defensive capacities of Ukraine and Lithuania, which is a NATO member country.

The signing of this document became another step in strengthening the cooperation of State Concern “Ukroboronprom” with the military-industrial entities of NATO member countries, which is a strategic goal on path of strengthening Ukraine's integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions.
