Two wounded in 19 attacks on Ukrainian positions over past day

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in Donbas remained tense at the end of the past day, with militants violating the ceasefire 19 times, the press center of the ATO headquarters has reported.

According to the report, the ATO forces fired back 12 times. Two Ukrainian servicemen were injured as a result of the fighting.

"After 18.00, the enemy twice used grenade launchers and small arms to fire at our positions on the outskirts of Avdiyivka. The pro-Russian mercenaries used the same weapons three times near Nevelske. At about 20.00, as a result of hostile grenade launch fire near Novoselivka Druha, one of our servicemen was wounded," the report says.

In the Luhansk sector, at the end of the day, the invaders fired from 82mm mortars at Ukrainian fortified positions near Krymske. Near the same village, the enemy actively used grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.

"In the Mariupol sector, one Ukrainian warrior was wounded yesterday afternoon as a result of a combat confrontation near Krasnohorivka. In addition, our strongholds near Vodiane came under enemy fire from large-caliber machine guns and small arms last night," the headquarters reported.
