Defense Ministry: 126 NATO standards introduced in Ukrainian army

A total of 126 standards of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization have been introduced in the activities of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Spokesman for the Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Colonel Maksym Prauta said this at the briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A total of 126 standards of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization have been already introduced in the activities of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Eighty-four national and military normative documents have been elaborated on strategic planning for the development of the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the use of Air and Naval forces, military communications, ballistic protection and protection against laser radiation, countering improvised explosive devices, development of logistics and medical support and so on," Prauta said.

According to him, the requirements of NATO standards are taken into account when drafting the operational-strategic and operational-tactical requirements, tactical and technical tasks to design and modernize the weapons and military equipment.
