Military units from ten foreign states to take part in parade on Independence Day – Poltorak

Ten units of the armed forces of different countries of the world will take part in a military parade on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said this to journalists on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Ten military units from different countries of the world will take part in the parade, nine of which are the countries of the Alliance and one country that seeks to join the Alliance," the defense minister noted.

According to Poltorak, 11 defense ministers will participate in the celebration at his invitation.

As reported, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak invited Commander of the U.S. Army in Europe Lieutenant General Frederick Benjamin Hodges to take part in the military parade on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, which will be held on August 24 in the center of Kyiv.
