Defense ministers of Ukraine and Poland discuss prospects for military cooperation between countries

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and National Defense Minister of the Republic of Poland Antoni Macierewicz discussed prospects for military cooperation between the countries.

Spokesman of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine Colonel Maksym Prauta said this during a briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The ministerial meeting was held within the framework of Poltorak's working visit to Poland.

"Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held a meeting with Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Poland Antoni Macierewicz. In particular, they discussed the issues of bilateral military and military and technical cooperation, further development and training of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade," Prauta said.

During the meeting, Poltorak informed about the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, current threats on the part of the Russian Federation.

In turn, Macierewicz said that news about the situation in eastern Ukraine confirmed that Russia continued to ignore the Minsk agreements.
