Militants launched 27 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 27 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants used mortars and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian strongholds near Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk) and Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). ATO troops outside Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher fire.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations shelled Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Malynove (19km north-east of Luhansk), using small arms and heavy machine guns.

In Mariupol direction, Ukrainian soldiers came under grenade launcher fire outside Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Militants also used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell Krasnohorivka.
