Militants launched 85 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 85 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

In Mariupol direction, militants used multiple rocket launcher systems and 120mm mortars to shell ATO positions outside Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol). Terrorists also launched attacks on Ukrainian strongholds near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), using small arms, grenade launchers, 82mm mortars.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants fired at Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), using small arms, grenade launchers, 82mm and 120mm mortars. In the evening, the enemy shelled the residential area of Novoluhanske village, resulting in damages of buildings. No civilian casualties were reported.

In Luhansk direction, militants used 120mm mortars and 122mm and 152mm artillery systems to shell Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk). ATO troops also came under mortar fire outside Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), Trokhizbenka (33km north-west of Luhansk), Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk), Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).
