Militants give preliminary consent to repair power line to Donetsk water filtering station – Zhebrivsky

Representatives of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) on ceasefire and stabilization of the demarcation line between the parties to Donbas conflict received a preliminary consent of the opposite side to repair the damaged power line in order to resume power supply to the Donetsk water filtering station.

Chairman of the Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky posted this on his Facebook page.

"As of today, Avdiivka is provided with drinking and technical water. Representatives of the State Emergency Service and a local utility company deliver water to people. However, the situation is life-threatening: the representatives of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC received only a preliminary consent of the opposite side to start tomorrow to repair the damaged power line. It is still unknown when the repair works will be completed," he wrote.

As reported, the Donetsk water filtering station stopped to operate on June 1 because of damage to the pipeline as a result of shelling near the village of Yakovlevka in Donetsk region.
