Defense Ministry: ATO soldiers undergoing treatment in Ukraine and abroad

A total of 81 Ukrainian servicepersons, who have been wounded or injured in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, are currently undergoing treatment at medical establishments of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

Defense Ministry’s Spokesperson Maksym Prauta informed this at a press briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Seven ATO soldiers are currently undergoing treatment abroad. In particular three in Hungary, two are in Portugal, one each in Germany and in USA. In addition, 50 ATO participants are currently undergoing rehabilitation at health resorts of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine,” he said.

Prauta also added that since the start of ATO, 3,235 servicepersons have received treatment, including 275 soldiers – in 2017.
