Militants launched 54 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas in last day

Russian backed militants launched 54 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in Donbas over the past day, the ATO press center reports. 

In Mariupol direction, Russian backed soldiers used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms to shell the Ukrainian positions near Vodiane, Hnutove and Shyrokyne. The militants also used grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns near Mariynka. In addition, the Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil and Krasnohorivka were shelled from anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. The enemy also used heavy machine guns on the Ukrainian positions near Novohryhorivka, and small arms near Lebedynske and Chermalyk. Also, enemy snipers were active near Mariynka, Bohdanivka and Vodiane.

In Donetsk direction, the Russian-backed terrorists launched attacks on the Ukrainian positions using 120mm and 82mm artillery, grenade launchers of various systems, large caliber machine guns, small arms, mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. In particular, the enemy used grenade launchers near Butovka coal mine and Zaitseve, while heavy machine guns were used near Troitske. The villages of Kamianka and Pisky were shelled by heavy machine guns and small arms.

In Luhansk direction, the Russian-backed militants used 120mm mortars to attack the Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka. Grenade launchers, 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns were used near the villages of Novozvanivka and Troitske. Moreover, the enemy used grenade launchers of various systems to shell the Ukrainian positions near Popasna, Krymske, Valuiske and Stanytsia Luhanska, and small arms near the village of Lobacheve.
