Russia starts military exercises of airborne troops in annexed Crimea

On Monday, Russia has launched the command-staff exercises of airborne troops at the Opuk training ground on the territory of the annexed Crimea.

This is reported by Radio Liberty, citing the press service of the Defense Ministry of Russia.

"Large-scale command-staff exercises with field firing have started at the Opuk training ground in Crimea," the statement reads.

According to the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation, three formations of the airborne troops with the authorized weapons and equipment were partially deployed from the mainland Russia to Crimea.
