Defense Ministry’s sappers continue mine clearance in Donbas

Field engineers of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry during last week’s mine clearance operations cleared over 14.5 hectares of land in the ATO zone in Donbas.

Colonel Oksana Havrylyuk, the head of Defense Ministry’s department on communication and press, stated this at a press briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Military engineers cleared more than 14.5 hectares of land, having detected 1,100 explosive devices in the ATO zone over the last week,” she said.

Colonel Oksana Havrylyuk also noted that since the start of ATO, sappers cleared a total of 2,821.5 hectares of land in Donbas and destroyed over 144 thousand explosives.
