Five Ukrainian soldiers killed, another six wounded in Donbas in last day

Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed, six servicemen were wounded, and another ten were shell-shocked and got injured in the anti-terrorist operation area in eastern Ukraine over the last day.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson for ATO Colonel Andriy Lysenko said this at a press briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

 "Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed, six servicemen were wounded, and another ten were shell-shocked and got injured as a result of active hostilities in eastern Ukraine in last day. These are the greatest losses for the last five months. We extend our condolences to relatives and friends of fallen soldiers," Lysenko said.

He recalled that Russian-occupation forces launched artillery and mortar attacks on Ukrainian troops in the area of Svitlodarsk in Donetsk region on December 18.
