Autumn conscription campaign begins in Ukraine

Today, October 4, the autumn recruiting campaign to the Ukrainian Army has begun.

According to spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Seleznyov, within the recruiting campaign, which will last till November 30, almost 14,000 men from 20 to 27 years will be conscripted into military service.

Seleznyov also added that it is planned to conscript by 2,700 men less than in the previous year.

In particular, among 13,908 men, who are subject to compulsory military service, 7,908 will be conscripted into military service in the Armed Forces, 5,000 – in the National Guard, and 1,000 – in the Sate Special Transport Service.

Seleznyov also stressed that none of conscript soldiers will be sent to the ATO zone.
