Trilateral Contact Group agreed to withdraw troops form three populated areas in Donbas

Ambassador Martin Sajdik, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group on the implementation of the peace plan in the East of Ukraine, states that the Contact Group during the talks in Minsk achieved an agreement on the withdrawal of troops and arms from three populated areas in Donbas - Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske

According to Sajdik, after three months of difficult talks and work of the subgroup on security issues, a framework document was signed to withdraw forces and heavy arms. The document was signed by representatives of Ukraine and Russia in the Trilateral Contact Group, as well as representatives of the so-called separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, he added.
