Klimkin, Steinmeier discuss Minsk agreements and ceasefire in Donbas

The situation in eastern Ukraine remains fragile despite the truce. The ways of stabilization will be discussed by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault in Kyiv next week.

Steinmeier announced this at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian colleague Pavlo Klimkin in Berlin, an Ukrinform correspondent in Germany reports.

"We discussed the tools to ensure security," Steinmeier said, commenting on the course of bilateral talks with Klimkin on Thursday.

In turn, the head of the Ukrainian diplomacy noted that "it is too early to speak about the progress in Donbas."

The German Foreign Minister said that Ukraine might rely on the support of Germany, noting that the parties to the conflict must not forget about the amnesty and the law on the special status. "We know that there is still much work to do," he admitted.
