Militants launch 48 attacks on ATO troops in eastern Ukraine in last day

Russian-backed militants continue to violate ceasefire in ATO area in eastern Ukraine. The terrorists launched 48 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in last day.

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press centre.

"The militants used mortars of banned caliber, grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns to shell Avdiyivka [18km north of Donetsk], Zaitseve [67km north-north-east of Donetsk], and Mayorske [45km north of Donetsk]. Ukrainian servicemen in Novhorodske [34km north of Donetsk] came under mortar, grenade-launcher, and machine-gun fire," the report says.

In Mariupol area, the enemy used banned 120mm and 82mm mortars to fire at Ukrainian strongholds in Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk region, the terrorists used grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns to shell Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk).
