Ukraine, NATO defense ministers to discuss additional assistance in Brussels

Ukraine and NATO defense ministers will discuss at their meeting additional assistance to Ukraine, the security situation and the violations of the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on the eve of the NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting, which will take place on June 15 in Brussels, Belgium, Ukrinform’s own Brussels correspondent reports.

"We will meet with Ukrainian Defense Minister at the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission on Wednesday. We are concerned about the security situation during the ongoing violations of the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine," head of the Alliance noted.

He also said that defense ministers of NATO member countries will approve additional aid package for Ukraine and Georgia.

Earlier, Ukrainfrom reported that a comprehensive package of assistance for Ukraine will be finally approved at the NATO Summit in Warsaw, Poland, which will be held July 8-9.
