Contact Group in Minsk tomorrow to discuss exchange of captives

Leonid Kuchma, ex-president of Ukraine, the representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group, has said that the exchange of captives will be the main topic of discussion at a sitting of the Group in Minsk on June 1, Radio Liberty reports.

"Every time we raise this issue, often come to agreement, but sometimes nothing works out ... Tomorrow we will again raise this issue," he said.

Kuchma expressed doubts that this issue will be resolved quickly, because, according to him, the militants submits lists of captives with the names of persons who have nothing to do with the events in Donbas.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, 126 Ukrainian captives are held in Donbass and Russia. The release of captives is one of the conditions of the Minsk agreements.
