OSCE SMM: Militants pressuring monitors

Members of the OSCE Special Motoring Mission (SMM) have reported pressure being put on them by militants of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic, the organization’s press service has reported.

"At the border check point, which is under the control of Russian-backed militants, 53 km south-east of occupied Luhansk, armed militants demanded that the SMM leaves the area. And in Chervonopartyzansk, SMM members were not allowed closer than 150 meters to the border check point. At Krasna Mohyla station, militants also demanded that observers leave the district,” reads the report.

Furthermore, at the roadblock near the village of Smilyve, militants barred the OSCE team from entering the district and threatened that they would open fire.
