Operation of Stanychno-Luhanske checkpoint suspended effective April 8 - State Border Service

On April 8 Stanychno-Luhanske traffic checkpoint will suspend its operation. The decision was made by headquarters of ATO, the State Border Service has said in a statement.

"The decision is connected with the aggravation of the situation outside Stanytsya-Luhanska village, where unlawful armed groups have significantly escalated attacks in the area. Temporary restriction on the checkpoint operations is aimed at ensuring the safety of life and health of the civilian population, who passes through the checkpoint.

The checkpoint will reopen after the situation normalizes and the rebels put an end to their provocative gunfire," a statement said.
