New patrol police launched in Chernivtsi

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov on Sunday, March 27, launched new patrol police in Chernivtsi.

This is reported by the government portal.

According to the prime minister, Chernivtsi became the 20th city where the new patrol police would operate. Some 342 new police officers took an oath of allegiance.

Yatsenyuk also added that the new patrol police is a part of large-scale reforms needed to carry out in Ukraine – the reforms of the law enforcement system, prosecutor’s office and courts “which should be not corrupt” and they “should pass fair and unbiased judgements in the cases that would be investigated and that are being investigated by the new Ukrainian police”.
