ATO troops come under heavy shelling in eastern Ukraine

The militants of pro-Russian illegal armed groups continued to fire at the positions of Ukrainian troops from different types of weapons over the past day.

The militants used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian fortifications in Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). The terrorists also used mortars to fire at Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk).

Near Horlivka (39 km north-east of Donetsk), the militants fired from small arms and grenade launchers at Ukrainian positions in Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk)

Grenade launchers, small arms as well as 82mm and 120 mm mortars were used by the enemy to shell Ukrainian troops near Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk) and Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk).
