8,500 Russian soldiers stay in Donbas

About 8,500 Russian servicemen stay in the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Head of the Anti-Terrorist Center at the Security Service of Ukraine Vitaliy Malikov said this in an interview with ZN.ua.

"There about 8,500 Russian servicemen. The figure is approximate as they enter and leave the territory on a rotational basis," he said.

According to Malikov, the Russians set up paramilitary formations in the occupied Donbas resembling the military units of the Russian army.
