Ukrainian servicemen allowed use weapons in ATO area – ATO HQ

Ukrainian servicemen have every right to use weapons in case of a direct threat to life and health of military personnel and civilians at the demarcation line in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine.

This is stated in the commentary of the ATO press center following the media reports saying that the ATO troops are allegedly not allowed to use their arms under any circumstances.

The ATO Headquarters notes that the Ukrainian servicemen may use only the weapons, not prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.

"The position of the ATO leadership on the use of weapons remains unchanged. The Ukrainian military have the full right to use weapons not prohibited by the Minsk Agreements in case of a direct threat to life and health of military personnel and civilians living and moving along the demarcation line," reads the statement.
