Ukrainian military ordered not to fire back – JCCC

Starting today, the Ukrainian party introduces the ceasefire regime along the demarcation line in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine’s envoy at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) General Major Borys Kremenetsky said this at the briefing on Wednesday, the ATO headquarters press center reports.

"To confirm the unconditional Ukraine's aspirations for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas, the chief of the General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued the order to ban the Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen from opening fire starting from 00:00, November 25. The JCCC’s Ukrainian side informed the OSCE SMM monitors and the JCCC’s Russian side of this order," reads the statement.

General Major Kremenetsky also noted that the Ukrainian side had made such a step despite the continuous ceasefire violations committed by the militants.
