ATO forces withdraw 85mm anti-tank guns

Pursuant to the Minsk Agreements, the ATO forces withdraw D-44 and D-48 guns (85mm anti-tank guns) in Donetsk region.

Spokesman for the Presidential Administration on the anti-terrorist operation, Colonel Andriy Lysenko said this at the briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. "According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military began to withdraw D-44 and D-48 guns from the demarcation line at 09:00 today. This stage of withdrawal is planned to be completed on Friday," Lysenko said.

He noted that the OSCE monitors would verify the withdrawn weapons on November 2-4.  The mortars with caliber of less than 120 mm are planned to be pulled back on November 5-8.

"This process takes place in accordance with the Minsk Agreements. In case if the militants try to disrupt the peace process, the Ukrainian army will be able to quickly return the weapons to the demarcation line," Andriy Lysenko said.
