Over 1,000 laws enforcement officers to maintain order during elections

Over 100,000 laws enforcement officers will provide public order during the local elections in Ukraine on October 25.

Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovy said at a ministry’s board meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“…over 100,000 laws enforcement officers will maintain order on the election day,” Yarovy said.

In particular, 73,000 police officers, 1,600 patrol police officers, 4,000 students, 8,000 servicemen of the National Guard, 1,500 officers of the State Frontier Service staff, and 13,000 employees of the State Service for Emergency Situations will be involved in maintaining public order at the upcoming elections.
