Government allocates over 90 bln for national safety – Yatsenyuk

Over UAH 90 billion have been allocated for national safety in 2015.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this in an interview with the Uriadovyi Kurier Ukraine’s government newspaper.

"The Government of Ukraine has allocated over UAH 90 billion for national safety this year," he said.

These funds, Yatsenyuk stressed, have been used to finance and equip the army and the National Guard of Ukraine, to repair, modernize and purchase the military equipment, which has been produced and kept in the Ukroboronprom [state-owned conglomerate which unites major defense industry enterprises] stock, and other needs.

The Prime Minister stressed that decisions on the military needs had been taken urgently.

"We set up new National Guard and the army in record-breaking time, which today confronts the modern army of the nuclear power, armed to the latest models," he added.
