Putin wants to undermine global security order, says Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of intentions to undermine global security order.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this in an interview with the BBC Newsnight program on October 9.

“It’s absolutely clear that he [President Putin] wants global instability. And exactly 18 months ago, when Russian soldiers came to Crime, (…) and exactly 15 months ago, when Russian soldiers came to Donbas, (…), and now when they came to Syria – the purpose is the same,” the president said.

According to the Ukrainian president, Vladimir Putin is intending to undermine the global security order because of the economic problems and the loss of support in Russia.
