Yanukovych's lobbyist arrested for attempt to give $200,000 bribe to prosecutor

Ukrainian law enforcers have detained Oleksiy Tamrazov, a former first deputy chairman of PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, who was attempting to give a $200,000 bribe to a prosecutor.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko wrote this on his Facebook page.

"After the statement on offering a bribe and obtaining evidence, the former first deputy chairman of the board of PJSC Ukrhazvydobuvannya, Tamrazov, was detained while trying to give an undue benefit in the amount of $200,000 to a PGO prosecutor for assistance in lifting a freeze on property in a criminal proceeding related to a criminal organization of [former Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych," he wrote.

Lutsenko added that Tamrazov's detention was a result of a joint special operation conducted by the Prosecutor General's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine.
