Number of street offences in Ukraine drops by 8%

Since the beginning of 2018, the number of street offences in Ukraine has decreased by almost 8%.

Oleksandr Fatsevych, the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine, said this during a meeting devoted to results of activity of the National Police prevention units and patrol police, the press service the National Police of Ukraine reports.

"A positive trend towards crime rate reduction is observed for such offences as robbery (30 percent down), robbery with beating (21.7 percent down), hooliganism (11 percent down). This year, the number of street offences has decreased by almost 8 percent," Fatsevych said.

He noted that the preventive units of the National Police took active part in the nationwide preventive measures.
