Kaskiv released on UAH 160,000 bail

The Pechersk District Court in Kyiv released ex-chief of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects Vladyslav Kaskiv on bail of UAH 160,000 bail (about $6,000).

Spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine Larysa Sarhan said this on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to her, Kaskiv was released from the courtroom. If he does not stand bail of UAH 160,000 within five days, he will be arrested again.

As reported, Kaskiv was extradited from Panama to Ukraine on the night of November 1.

Taking into account he fully compensated for the damage caused to the state and the fact that he is a father to five minor children, the court ruled to apply a pre-trail restriction against Kaskiv in the form of custody within a two-month pre-trial investigation or bail as an alternative measure of restraint. The bail was set at UAH 160,000.

As reported, ex-chief of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects Vladyslav Kaskiv is suspected of embezzling UAH 7.5 million in state funds in 2012-2013 under a fictitious advertising services agreement.
