Police open proceedings over ‘nationalization’ of DTEK assets by militants in Donbas

The Main Investigation Department of the National Police department in Kyiv has opened the pre-trial investigation in connection with the loss of DTEK holding’s control over its enterprises located in the temporarily uncontrolled areas in Donbas.

Ukrinform learnt this from the press service of the holding.

 "In the current situation, DTEK will defend its position using all legal means. We hope that the law enforcement agencies will take all the necessary measures to prevent the illegal use of the seized property," head of the anti-crisis DTEK headquarters Denys Didenko said.

As reported, as of March 15, 2017, the assets of DTEK energy holding, namely PJSC DTEK Komsomolets Donbasu mine, Mospynske coal processing enterprise, PJSC DTEK Energougol ENE, DTEK Vostokenergo, DTEK Donetskoblenergo, Tekhrempostavka, DTEK Sverdlovantracit, DTEK Rovenkiantracit, Elektronaladka LLC, DTEK High Voltage Networks and DTEK Service LLC, located in the uncontrolled areas, had been seized by the so called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
