Consideration of appeal in Yefremov case put off until January 17

The Kyiv Court of Appeals has postponed consideration of the appeal against extension of the arrest of former leader of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation Oleksandr Yefremov until January 17.

This is reported by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"The court hearing was put off until January 17 due to incomplete composition of the court board," the article reads.

As a reminder, the custodial term of Oleksandr Yefremov was extended for two months, until January 22, 2017, in late November.

 Yefremov is suspected of organizing seizure of the building of the Luhansk Regional State Administration; accessory in the capture of the administration building of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Luhansk region; state treason; activities deliberately undertaken by a citizen of Ukraine to diminish the nation's sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence established by the Constitution; supporting and establishing a terrorist organization - the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic".
