Natalia Korchak: NAPC should participate in high-profile searches

The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) says its employees should be involved in the search of premises of the officials who submitted e-declarations.

NAPC Head Natalia Korchak stated this on Inter TV Channel.

“We discussed with the Prosecutor General’s Office the possibility of our employees’ participation in the investigation activities connected with the necessary search of premises of declarants. There will be an opportunity to record data and the state in the premises,” she noted.

Korchak reminded that the NAPC is a preventive body and has no rights to carry out own operative and investigative activities, but it can do this via other law enforcement agencies.

Korchak also said that the work on the verification of e-declarations has already been started. And added that the untimely submitted e-declarations will be checked in the first place.
