USF strikes 13 more energy facilities in temporarily occupied territories
The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 13 more electrical substations in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine's Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions as part of Operation "Crimean Switch Off."
According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Magyar" Brovdi.
"Operation 'Crimean Switch Off' is sweeping across the south: another 13 energy hubs were successfully targeted by the Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces within 72 hours. The Zuivska Thermal Power Plant, Mariupol, Henichesk, Berdiansk, and other locations are experiencing blackouts," Brovdi said.
The following facilities were struck:
- Energy infrastructure at the Zuivska Thermal Power Plant, Zuhres, Donetsk region;
- 330 kV Myrna electrical substation, Mariupol;
- 220 kV Azovska-220 electrical substation, Mariupol;
- 110 kV Misto-6 electrical substation, Mariupol;
- 110 kV Misto-11 electrical substation, Mariupol;
- 110 kV Misto-2 electrical substation, Mariupol, Donetsk region;
- 150 kV Henichesk electrical substation (repeat strike), Kherson region;
- 110 kV Topolyne electrical substation, Topolyne, Zaporizhzhia region;
- 110 kV Makorty electrical substation, Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region;
- 110 kV Volodarska electrical substation, Mykilske, Zaporizhzhia region;
- Electrical substation, Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region;
- 150 kV Novooleksiivka electrical substation, Novooleksiivka, Kherson region;
- 150 kV Henichesk electrical substation, Henichesk, Kherson region.
According to Brovdi, from July 1 through August 2, the operation has struck a total of 177 energy-related targets in the temporarily occupied territories.
As Ukrinform previously reported, fighters of the First Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system and seven radar stations belonging to Russian forces in Russia's Krasnodar region.
