War update: 204 clashes at front line, most of them in Pokrovsk direction
There were 204 combat clashes at the front, and in the Pokrovsk direction the Russians carried out more than 30 attacks on Defense Forces positions.
This was reported by Ukrinform, citing operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on June 23 on Facebook.
"Since the beginning of the day, a total of 204 combat clashes have taken place. The enemy carried out two missile strikes using two missiles, 48 air strikes, and dropped 160 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 6,037 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,140 shellings of settlements and our troops' positions," the military said.
According to the General Staff, there were six combat clashes in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions. The enemy carried out 51 shellings of settlements and our troops' positions, six of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
During the day in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy stormed our units' positions 13 times near Izbytske and Starytsia, as well as in the directions of Kutkivka, Kozacha Lopan, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, and Okhrimivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched one assault on Defense Forces positions in the direction of Shyikivka.
Eleven attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction in the areas of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, and Lyman. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 13 attempts by the invaders to move forward near Riznykivka, Zakitne, and toward Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
One enemy assault was recorded in the Kramatorsk direction in the area of Malynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 enemy assaults near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Kostiantynivka. One clash is still ongoing.
In total, the enemy carried out 32 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, and toward Hryshyne, Myrne, Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Nikanorivka, Dobropillia, Dorozhnie, Hannivka, Rodynske, Serhiivka, Muravka, Filiia. Two clashes are still ongoing.
According to preliminary counts, 44 occupiers were eliminated and 17 wounded here today; one self-propelled artillery system, two vehicles, and three special vehicles were destroyed; two enemy vehicles were damaged. A total of 258 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, our defenders stopped one enemy attack in the direction of Oleksandrohrad.
There were 18 enemy attacks in the Huliaipole direction in the areas of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, and toward Rybne, Dobropillia, Kosivtseve, Zarichne, Staroukrainka, and Danylivka.
No combat clashes were recorded in the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions.
There were no significant changes in the situation in other directions.
As reported by Ukrinform, fighting in the east has intensified, and the actions of Russian forces have turned into a large-scale offensive campaign.
