Electrician killed in Kherson after Russian drone strike during repair work
In Kherson, an enemy drone killed an electrician while he was performing repair work; an investigation has been launched.
According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person,” the statement reads.
According to the investigation, on June 10, 2026, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Russian military forces carried out a drone attack on one of the streets of Kherson.
An employee of an energy company was killed as a result of the explosive device being dropped. At the time of the attack, the man was performing emergency repair work.
Additionally, according to the Regional Military Administration, medical assistance was required for a 24-year-old man who was struck by a Russian UAV in the Velyka Oleksandrivka community at one of the gas stations. Around 11:15 a.m., an enemy drone struck a car, causing the resident to suffer an explosive injury, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his arm and face.
Earlier, around 10:00 a.m., the Russians attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson with a drone. A 52-year-old woman was injured when the UAV struck, sustaining a blast injury.
Later, the Regional Military Administration reported that two residents of Kherson sought medical assistance after being injured in the morning Russian shelling of the city’s Korabelny district. A 57-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and concussions. Both victims were prescribed outpatient treatment.
In addition, a 49-year-old man sought treatment at the hospital after being caught in Russian shelling of the village of Bilozerka on June 5. As a result of the attack, he sustained blast injuries and a concussion. He was hospitalized for further care.
It is also noted that a 50-year-old woman sought medical attention at the hospital after being caught in a Russian UAV attack on June 8 at a gas station in the Velyka Oleksandrivka community. She sustained a blast injury, a concussion, and hearing loss.
Medical assistance was provided to two residents of Komyshany who were injured during the Russian shelling of the village on June 5. The women, aged 42 and 75, sustained blast injuries and concussions.
As reported by Ukrinform, over the past 24 hours, the Russian army used drones and artillery to strike 39 settlements in the Kherson region, resulting in 13 people being wounded.
