Russia loses 1,330 troops, two air defense systems in war against Ukraine over past day

Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, up to June 8, 2026, are estimated at about 1,378,950 personnel, including 1,330 soldiers killed or wounded in action over the past 24 hours. 

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Russia also lost 11,997 (+8) tanks, 24,705 (+5) armored combat vehicles, 43,564 (+85) artillery systems, 1,847 (+3) multiple launch rocket systems, 1,409 (+2) air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 1,607 (+12) ground robotic systems, 336,224 (+2,161) operational-tactical UAVs, 4,733 cruise missiles, 33 ships/boats, 2 submarines, 104,414 (+363) vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,259 (+2) units of special equipment.

As Ukrinform reported, as of 22:00 on June 7, there had been 196 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian troops.
