ADF neutralizes 189 of 198 Russian drones overnight
Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized 189 out of 198 drones used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine from the evening of June 2.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
From 18:00 on June 2, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 198 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya-type decoy drones, launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on June 3, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 189 drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Hits by eight strike drones were recorded at seven locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at seven locations.
The attack is ongoing, and enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
As Ukrinform previously reported, an elderly woman was killed and six other people were injured in Russian attacks on Kherson during the night of June 3.
